How do I charge the battery?

The battery is integrated into the frame and can only be removed in case of service. This way we ensure a sleek look, keep the weight low and balanced, and the battery itself protected.

Our bikes weigh only between 13.4 - 17.2 kg, so they can easily be carried to a power socket. The bike is being charged through a port on the seattube.

The e-bike comes with an Ampler-specific charger. The process is similar to charging your laptop computer – you have to connect the bike to a standard wall power outlet (110–240 V AC). When you live in the UK, we will send you a charger with a Type G plug.

The charger's plug is magnetic, which holds it onto the e-bike charging port. Make sure the port is dry, free of dirt and keep it away from metallic dust or metallic items.

You cannot remove the battery from the bike for charging, which means you have to charge the bike next to a power outlet. The e-bike battery should be charged indoors, always above 0°C, and in a dry place. Do not keep the charger outside.

It takes about 2.5 hours, until the battery is fully charged again.

If you own a Generation 1 bike, we recommend you charge your bike every 5-6 weeks if not in use.

If you own a Generation 2 bike, please read the following recommendation.
