Hawk chain tension / replacement

Our Hawk single speed model has an eccentric bottom bracket for chain tension adjustments. Release the two big bolts under the bottom bracket, and then carefully turn the eccentric clockwise (looking from the left side of the bike) until you achieve proper tension. Then, tighten the two big bolts and you are done.

Check regularly if the chain is worn out, for example with a chain checker tool. If you need to replace the chain we recommend the KMC chain model HL710. HL in the model refers to a half link, which is the link shape. We would recommend using a half link as this allows for accurate sizing. When looking for a regular chain, you should choose a 1/2“ x 1/8“ chain.
