The frame and the battery are designed in such a way that every professional bike shop is able to remove the battery and, if needed, replace it with a new one in under an hour.
To remove the battery, you would have to remove the following in the order given:
- remove cranks
- remove bottom bracket eccentric (sensitive wiring inside)
- disconnect all wires
- remove battery together with the motor controller
To do this, you will need specific instructions provided by Ampler Bikes, and professional bicycle maintenance tools. We thus highly recommend having a local bike shop do the procedure. Improper handling may void the warranty.
The battery is removed through the bottom bracket after de-installing the crank arms and motor controller/torque sensor.
